Why Comic Sans

The Undeserved Hatred

Comic Sans is one of the most hated fonts, but honestly, I don't think it deserves it. While people often call it "unprofessional," it is actually one of the easiest fonts to read because of the clear differences between each letter.

One of the biggest strengths of Comic Sans is its readability. The letters are distinct and easy to tell apart, which makes reading smoother. This can be especially helpful at a younger age, or for people with dyslexia or other reading difficulties.

Why People Dislike It

Most of the criticism comes from the idea that Comic Sans is "unprofessional." While that might be true in certain formal settings, it overlooks the original purpose of the font. Fonts are meant to improve readability, not just look professional.

My Take

I think Comic Sans is one of the most misunderstood and underrated fonts of all time. Its strength isn't based on formality, but in how easy it is to read. When used correctly, it can be one of the most effective fonts available.
